CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-442 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING BUDGET OF THE BUILDING <br />INSPECTION DEPARTMENT BY $31,886 AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE HIRING OF ONE ADDITIONAL BUILDING INSPECTOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />due to increased development and residential <br />construction, it is necessary to hire an additional <br />building inspector to absorb the related workload; <br />and <br /> <br />~tEREAS, <br /> <br />projected building inspection revenues will be <br />sufficient to cover the increase in the budget <br />required by an additional employee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Director of Finance presented her report <br />outlining in detail the projected revenue and <br />cost for this proposed budget change to Council <br />at its meeting of October 11, 1983; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes the hiring of an additional building <br /> inspector as of November 1, 1983. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes an increase to the 1983-84 Operating <br /> Budget in the amount of $31,886.00. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED OCTOBER 11, 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Butler <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br />~B~Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />Peter ~.
