CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CAT ,IFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-410 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING KOTTINGER BARN AS A LOCAL <br />HISTORICAL BUILDING <br /> <br />I~HEREAS, the Kottinger Barn located at 200 Ray Street was <br /> constructed in approximately 1852; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />it is the only adobe structure remaining in the <br />City limits of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />WItEREAS <br /> <br />the Kottinger Barn is steeped in area history not <br />only for its age, but for its public use as a jail <br />early in its history; and <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton's General Plan contains <br />policies aimed at preserving such structures; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the owners of the building intend to restore the <br />structure and have asked that it be designated a <br />structure of architectural and historical significance; <br /> <br />NOW, TttEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton does <br /> hereby designate the Kottinger Barn at 200 Ray Street <br /> as a building of special historical and architectural <br /> significance for purposes of Section 104(f) of the <br /> Uniform Building Code. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 27, 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br /> None . ~ ~~ <br /> <br /> ATTEST: ROBE~'E.
