V~IEREAS, CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFOP~IA RESOLUTION NO. 83-400 REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CO']TRACT TO R. FLATLAND COMPANY FOR KOTTINGER DRIVE AND KOTTINGER PARK STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO. 83-11 the City prepared plans and specifications for Kottinger Drive and Kottinger Park Storm Drain Improvements, Project No. 83-11; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids regarding this project; and WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on September 27, 1983; and WHEREAS, the bid of R. Flatland Company of San Mateo, in the amount of $92,204.00 (including alternates) was determined to be the lowest responsible bid; and WHEREAS , the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended that the bid of R. Flatland Company of San Mateo be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The bid of R. Flatland Company of San Mateo, in the amount of $92,204.00, for Kottinger Drive and Kottinger Park storm drain improvements, Project No. 83-11, is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a contract with R. Flatland Company of San Mateo for the improvmeents specified above. Section 3: The 1983-84 Capital ImproveMents budget is amended by appropriating $35,000.00 of additional funds to finance and provide contingency for Project No. 83-11, Kottinger Drive and Kottinger Park Storm Drain Improvements. Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
