III. REPORTS AND PROCEDURES <br /> <br /> An acknowledgment of receipt of each assignment will be <br />submitted to the City within thirty (30) days of notice of <br />claim. That acknowledgment will be in the form ofa full <br />captioned report showing names of claimant, type of claim, <br />date of loss, comments and evaluation on liability, reserve <br />recommendations, and other pertinent information. Other <br />reports will follow routinely within thirty (30) days or <br />extended diary if appropriate. <br /> <br /> IV. DENIAL, COMPROMISE OR SETTLEMENT OF CLAIMS <br /> <br /> It is agreed that the City has designated $1,000.00 authority <br />to the claims administrator for the purpose of compromising <br />and/or settling any claims against the City. Prior approval <br />to compromise or settle any claim will be obtained from the <br />designated City official or Risk Manager on matters exceeding <br />$1,000.00. <br /> <br /> V. PAYMENT FOR SERVICES <br /> <br /> The current prorata administration fee is $2,000.00 based <br />upon an annual administration fee of $2,400.00. <br /> <br /> The support services provided as part of the administration <br />fee include preparation of a claims manual tailored to the City <br />of Pleasanton's needs, periodic claims reviews (at least twice <br />per year), loss prevention and safety services to identify <br />liability exposure, and seminars relating to general claims <br />issues, police exposures and public works exposures. It shall <br />be the responsibility of City to initiate requests and make <br />reasonable arrangements with Claims Administrator for use of <br />support services. <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
