CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-371 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING BID OF McNAMARA CONSTRUCTION, <br />INC. FOR VINEYARD AVENUE BIKE LANE, PROJECT NO. <br />83-7 AND AUTHORIZING CALLING FOR NEW BIDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on August 9, 1983, Council authorized calling for <br />bids for construction of the Vineyard Avenue Bike <br />Lane; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Engineering Estimate for the cost of the <br />project was substantially lower than the one bid <br />received from McNamara Construction, Inc.; and <br /> <br />WIIEREAS, staff feels that it could receive more competitive <br /> bids if the project were bid in early 1984; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1: Council hereby rejects the bid of McNamara <br /> Construction, Inc. for the construction of the <br /> Vineyard Avenue Bike Lane, Project No. 83-7. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 13, 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood <br /> and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Wood <br /> <br />ATTEST: ~ <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />Peter D.
