CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-363 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE CONCEPT OF A FEASIBILITY <br />STUDY FOR A RIDGELANDS PARK ON PLEASANTON RIDGE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of August 23, 1983, the City Council <br />heard a Dresentation by Lynn Bowers, representing <br />East Bay Regional Park District, requesting Council <br />to endorse the concept of a feasibility study to <br />see whether or not it is possible to have a ridgelands <br />park on Pleasanton Ridge; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the East Bay Regional Park District requires 25% <br />registered voter signatures on a petition before <br />it will conduct the feasibility study and financing <br />for the project could come from a number of sources <br />such as state bond monies, federal land and water <br />grant money, bond election, local participation <br />from industry, grazing operations, and EBRPD <br />funds; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br /> endorses the concept of a feasibility study to see <br /> whether or not it is possible to have a ridgelands <br /> park on Pleasanton Ridge. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective irmmediately <br /> upon its Dassage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED AUGUST 23, 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE <br /> <br />AYES Councilmembers - Brandes, ~{ercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Butler <br />NOES None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> ~ BET~. ~LER, MAYOR <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
