CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFOrnIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 83-354 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO GRADEWAY <br />CONSTRUCTION FOR STREET IHPROVE'~ENTS, DEL VALLE <br />PARKWAY AND BE~]AL AVENUE, PROJECT NO. 83-10 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for <br />street improvements to Del Valle Parkway and Bernal <br />Avenue, Project No. 83-10; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the <br />City Engineering Services Division advertised for <br />bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on August 23, <br /> 1983; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the bid of Gradeway Construction, in the amount of <br />$106,712.00 was determined to be the lowest <br />responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of Gradeway Construction be acceDted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Gradeway Construction, in the amount <br /> of $106,712.00, for street improvements to Del Valle <br /> Parkway and Bernal Avenue, Project No. 83-10, is <br /> hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest <br /> responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a contract <br /> with Gradeway Construction for the improvements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED AUGUST 23, 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE <br /> <br />AYES <br /> <br />NOES <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Councilmembers <br />Mayor Butler <br />None <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />- Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> <br />By Doris George, <br /> <br />RO E~~E.
