CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COU~ITY, CALIFOR~IIA RESOLUTION NO. 83-330 RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO THE INCLUSION OF THE TERRITORY OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON IN THE FORMATION OF THE COUNTY SERVICE AREA TO BE ESTABLISHED FOR THE PROVISION OF PARAMEDIC EMERGENCY ~DICAL SERVICES WHEREAS, the voters of each city and of the unincorporated area within Alameda County at the November 2, 1982 General Election did approve County of Alameda Measure C for the establishment of a county service area for the provision of paramedic emergency medical services on a county-wide basis; and WHEREAS , the Board of Supervisors of Alameda County is processing an application to the Local Agency Formation Commission for the creation of the service area; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has requested each city council to adopt a resolution of consent for the inclusion of its territory in the formation of the service area pursuant to Section 25210.10 a of the Government Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the public health, safety, and welfare of its constitutency will be promoted by the service area; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton apDroves and consents to the inclusion of all of the incorporated territory of the City in the formation of the county service area to be established for the provision of paramedic emergency medical services; and directs the City Clerk to file certified copies of this reso- lution with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors and with the County Administrator. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adontion.
