CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. B3-328 REQUEST FOR CALTRANS TO COMMENCE ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF PROPOSED HOPYARD ROAD/I-580 INTERCHANGE IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton considers the proposed improvement of the Hopyard Road/I-580 Interchange to be of the highest priority; and WHEREAS, this work is proposed to be included in the North Pleasanton Assessment District Project; and WHEREAS, the Hopyard Road/I-580 Interchanqe is currently listed on the STIP; and WHEREAS, Prudential Insurance Company has offered to guarantee funding for the Hopyard/I-580 improvement should funds not be available from the Assessment District; and WHEREAS, the proposed Hopyard Road/I-580 Interchange is not dependent upon the other freeway improvements to be included in the North Pleasanton Assessment District; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The State of California, Department of Transportation is requested to commence processing the environmental assess- ment of the proposed Hopyard Road/I-580 Interchange improvements, as described in plans previously submitted by the City of Pleasanton. Section 2: Fundino for the construction of this project is assured by either the North Pleasanton Assessment District or Prudential Insurance Company. Section 3: The California Department of Transportation is requested to prepare any necessary cooperative agreements for the project and submit them to the City for consideration. Section 4: City staff is directed to submit a certified copy of this resolution to the District Director of Department of Transportation, District 4 and also to provide any information necessary to process this request. Section 5: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
