CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-322 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REGARDING LLNL TECHNICAL VOLUNTEER <br />SERVICE PARTICIPATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Lawrence Livermore ~!ational Laboratory has <br />established a Technical Volunteer Service to <br />provide technical assistance to state and local <br />governments and nonprofit organizations through <br />the technical expertise of laboratory employees; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Technical <br />Volunteer Service requires that participating <br />agencies assume liability and provide worker's <br />compensation coverage for volunteers; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council authorizes the City Manager to <br /> sign the Assumption of Liability and Worker's <br /> Compensation Certificate, copies of which are <br /> attached hereto and incorporated herein by this <br /> reference, for any volunteer provided to the City <br /> of Pleasanton by Lawrence Livermore National <br /> Laboratory Technical Volunteer Service. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED AUGUST 9, 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Councilmembers <br />None <br />Councilmember Mercer <br />None <br /> <br />- Brandes, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Butler <br /> <br />ATTEST: BE~RT~E' ~~ <br /> RO BUTLER, MAYOR <br /> <br /> y Doris George, Deputy City ~lerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />Br stant City <br />Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
