CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 83-318 RESOLUTION APPROVING DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS IN THE KOTTINGER AVENUE AREA WHEREAS, ~n -lanuary, 1983, two intense storms in the area created a situation where the Kottinger Creek and runoff on Kottinger Drive overflowed the curb and inundated the Pleasanton Gardens ADartments; and WItEREAS, in February, 1983, Council authorized the selection of a qualified engineering firm to Derform a drainage study for the Kottinger DrivetPleasanton Gardens area; and ~HEREAS, the final report of Kennedy/Jenks Engineers was submitted on June 27, 1983; and WHEREAS, in his report dated July 20, 1983 (SR 83:282), the Director of Public Works and Utilities presented his recommendations for improvements to the area; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Staff is directed documents necessary items: to initiate the construction to construct the following The storm inlet and pipe on Kottinger Drive as per the study recommendation No. 1 ($22,000). Modify the headwall for the creek at Kottinger Drive to provide the necessary protection to contain the high flows within the channel ($3,000). UD tO three check dams to be located within K~ttinger Park; the final number to be determined along with the final design ($16,000-$48,000). Section 2: The Public Works crews are directed to contact the various neighbors surrounding Pleasanton Gardens to receive permission to modify their common fences. After permission is received, the crews shall modify said fences such that water will not pond within the Pleasanton Gardens ComDlex. Section 3: As soon as possible, construction plans shall be returned to the City Council for review and approval and progress reports shall be provided on the fence work. -1-
