CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 83-288 APPROVAL OF 1983-84 INSURANCE PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF PLEAS~]TON WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has been a self-insured munici- pality since 1978 having a self-insured liability retention of $50,000 and a worker's compensation self-insured retention of $100,000; and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance presented a report to the City Council on July 26, 1983 (SR 83:301), outlining a program of insurance coverage in excess of the self-insured retentions; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves the purchase of the following insurance policies: (a) Lexington Insurance Co,, $9,000,000 Umbrella Liability $ 6,750.00 (b) St. Paul Surplus - Property Ins. 15,265.34 (c) Mutual Fire Marine and Inland Ins. Co., Equipment Floater 6,428.33 (d) Continental Ins. Co. ComDrehensive Crime 2,652.00 (e) Continental Ins. Co. Boiler & Machinery 1,249.00 (f) General Reinsurance Corp. - Excess Worker's ComD. 6,375.00 Section 2: Authorizes the City Manager to sign the formal release to Canadian Indemnity for the two remaining (successive) years on the $1,000,000 ~nicipal Liability Insurance in excess of the $50,000 self-insured retention; and transfer the Dolicy to Twin Cities Fire Insurance Company, a division of Hartord Group. Section 3: Authorizes the staff to renew the following contracts for claims administration for the City's self-insurance program: (a) E.S.I.8., Claims Administrator for Worker's Compensation
