CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-261 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING BID AND SALE OF SURPLUS CITY <br />PROPERTY ON NORTHEAST CORNER OF PETERS AND BERNAL <br />AVENUES TO CAROLINE AND GOOCH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council declared a parcel of land located <br />on the northeast corner of Peters Avenue and <br />Bernal Avenue as surplus and has performed all <br />requirements necessary for sale of the property; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on June 9, 1983, a sealed bid was received from <br />John Caroline and Kenneth Gooch in the sum of <br />$47,280.00, which is the minimum price; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1: The City Council hereby accepts the bid of John <br /> Caroline and Kenneth Gooch in the sum of $47,280.00 <br /> for the purchase of the surplus proDerty at Peters <br /> Avenue and Bernal Avenue. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a deed from <br /> the City of Pleasanton to Messrs. Caroline and <br /> Gooch for the above property. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 28, 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES Councilmembers - Brandes, Mohr, Wood and Vice <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES None ~E <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br /> <br />
