CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 83-258 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 1983-84 OPERATING BUDGET <br />FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager presented to the City Council a <br /> Proposed Operating Budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a meeting was held on June 6, 1983 at which the <br />proposed budget was reviewed and a public hearing <br />was held to afford the public the oDportunity to <br />speak; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Manager indicated that the ODerating Budget <br />may need to be amended after the State Budget is <br />adopted and the level of State subventions is <br />established; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council reviewed the report of the Director of <br /> Finance (SR 83:234) dated June 15, 1983; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves and adopts the 1983-84 Operating Budget <br /> as presented with the following amendments: <br /> <br />Downtown Area - Design Guidelines <br />Study (Planning Department) <br /> <br />$25 000 <br /> <br />Keystone Valve (Fire Department) <br /> <br />3 200 <br /> <br />Two (2) Police Clerks and related <br />uniform expenses; and one (1) Crossing <br />Guard at Parkside Drive (Police Dept.) <br /> <br />54 <br /> <br />033 <br /> <br />Backhoe Tractor (Street) <br /> <br />35,000 <br /> <br />Five (5) additional Dart-time summer <br />employees (Parks) <br /> <br />8,000 <br /> <br />One (1) additional clerical position for <br />Business License Enforcement (Administra- <br />tive Services) <br /> <br />20,000 <br /> <br />Move the acquisition of land for the <br />Vineyard Avenue Park of $250,000 from the <br />1983-84 FY Capital Improvement Program <br />to the 1984-85 FY Budget <br /> <br />Energize all turned off street lights, and <br />pay for those now being paid for by private <br />citizens. <br /> <br /> <br />
