CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 83-258 RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 1983-84 OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANTON WHEREAS, the City Manager presented to the City Council a Proposed Operating Budget; and WHEREAS, a meeting was held on June 6, 1983 at which the proposed budget was reviewed and a public hearing was held to afford the public the oDportunity to speak; and WHEREAS, the City Manager indicated that the ODerating Budget may need to be amended after the State Budget is adopted and the level of State subventions is established; and WHEREAS, Council reviewed the report of the Director of Finance (SR 83:234) dated June 15, 1983; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves and adopts the 1983-84 Operating Budget as presented with the following amendments: Downtown Area - Design Guidelines Study (Planning Department) $25 000 Keystone Valve (Fire Department) 3 200 Two (2) Police Clerks and related uniform expenses; and one (1) Crossing Guard at Parkside Drive (Police Dept.) 54 033 Backhoe Tractor (Street) 35,000 Five (5) additional Dart-time summer employees (Parks) 8,000 One (1) additional clerical position for Business License Enforcement (Administra- tive Services) 20,000 Move the acquisition of land for the Vineyard Avenue Park of $250,000 from the 1983-84 FY Capital Improvement Program to the 1984-85 FY Budget Energize all turned off street lights, and pay for those now being paid for by private citizens.
