CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-240 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING USE OF THE POLICE TRAINING <br />CENTER BUILDING BY THE CHILDREN'S THEATRE WORKSHOP <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Police Training Center is currently being used <br /> by the Valley Volunteer Bureau; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of May 24, 1983, the Council approved <br />in concept the use of the small house behind the <br />present Police Department facility by the Valley <br />Volunteer Bureau, which will leave the Police <br />Training Center available for an appropriate use; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Children's Theatre Workshop is an organization <br />which contributes to the cultural enrichment of <br />Pleasanton and the entire Tri-Valley area and it <br />would be in the public interest to allow them to <br />use the Police Training Center; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1: Council authorizes the use of the Police Training <br /> Center by the Children's Theatre WorkshoD uDon <br /> vacation of the premises by the Valley Volunteer <br /> Bureau. <br /> <br />Section 2: Staff is directed to negotiate with the Children's <br /> Theatre Workshop to establish appropriate terms <br /> and conditions for the use of the facility. Said <br /> agreement shall be presented to Council for its <br /> review and approval. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 14, 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood and Vice <br /> Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES None KENNE~ER, VIC~ <br />/~/iames R. er, Ci erk ' AS TO FORM: <br /> eter D. ~,acDonald, City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
