CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-215 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR OLD SANTA RITA ROAD IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of May 24, 1983, the City Council <br />received a proposed mitigated negative declaration <br />for improvements to Old Santa Rita Road between <br />Santa Rita Road and 1-58Q; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated May 16, 19B3 and received the <br />recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which <br />time the public was given the opportunity to <br />comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed <br />improvements; and <br /> <br />~HEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts <br />in accordance with the applicable state and local <br />guidelines governing the preparation of mitigated <br />negative declarations and environmental impact <br />reports; and <br /> <br />I,MEREAS, <br /> <br />the Initial Study prepared by the City staff <br />indicated that there may be significant impacts <br />upon the environment, but that conditions of <br />approval would render these potential impacts <br />insignificant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />the City Council finds that based upon the review <br />of the Initial Study, and the testimony and docu- <br />mentary evidence presented at the public hearing <br />that there may be significant impacts on the <br />environment, but that conditions listed in Section <br />1 below as mitigations render these Dotential <br />impacts insignificant; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves a Mitigated Negative Declaration for <br /> improvements to Old Santa Rita Road between Santa <br /> Rita Road and 1-580, subject to the following mitiRating <br /> conditions: <br /> <br />The final design for the project shall provide <br />adequate Drovisions to reduce and control any <br />erosion and sedimentation affecting the Tassajara <br />Creek during and after construction. <br /> <br /> <br />
