CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 83-207 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR WEED ABATEMENT PROGRAM FOR 1983 TO SPILKER TREE SERVICE, INC. AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that pursuant to Government Code Sections 39560 through 39588 there are weeds and rubbish in the City of Pleasanton which must be abated; and WHEREAS, the City Council on April 12, 1983, adopted Resolution No. 83-150 establishing a list of lots upon or in front of which weeds must be abated; and WHEREAS, after soliciting bids Dursuant to specifications for weed abatement adopted by the City of Pleasanton, Spilker Tree Service, Inc. was determined to be the lowest responsible bidder; and ~HEREAS, the Fire Marshal has reviewed the bid and has recommended that SDilker Tree Service, Inc. be designated as the City's contractor for weed abatement purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Determines that SDilker Tree Service, Inc. be designated as the Clty's contractor for the purposes of performance of the City's 1983 weed abatement program pursuant to Resolution No. 83-150. Section 2: Authorizes the Mayor to execute an agreement approved by the City Attorney with Spilker Tree Service, Inc. for the performance of the work mentioned herein. Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
