CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-204 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING APPROPRIATION LIMIT FOR <br />FISCAL YEAR 1983-84 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Article XIIIB of the State of California Constitution <br />(Proposition 4 on the November 6, 1979 ballot) <br />requires that each year the governing body of each <br />local agency establish its appropriation limit for <br />the following fiscal year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the appropriation limit for 1983-84 fiscal year is <br />equal to the limit for 1982-83, adjusted for <br />changes in the cost of living and population; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />staff has determined the overall net increase in <br />the cost of living and population for fiscal year <br />1982-83 to be 4.77%; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, using the above figure, the aDpropriations limit <br /> for fiscal year 1983-84 should be $8,682,835.00; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Adopts the appropriation limit for fiscal year <br /> 1983-84 of $8,682,835.00. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MAY 24, 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None ~~ <br />/~j~W~aa~k~r~ .
