CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 83-197 REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO ROBERT QUATMAN, INC., HAYWARD, FOR PLEASANTON SPORTS AND RECREATION PARK, PHASE IV, PROJECT NO. 83-2 WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for improvements to the front twenty-acre section of Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park, Project No. 83-2; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids regarding this project; and WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on May 24, 1983; and I~flEREAS, the bid of Robert Quatman, Inc., Hayward, in the amount of $996,560.85 was determined to be the lowest responsible bid; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended that the bid of Robert Quatman, Inc., Hayward, be accepted; and WHEREAS , an additional allocation of $139,854.33 is necessary to cover the costs plus a contingency and the Three Year Park Capital Improvement Budget should be adjusted accordingly; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The bid of Robert Quatman, Inc., Hayward, in the amount of $996,560.85, for improvements to Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park, Phase IV, including alternate bid items 1 - 12, Project 83-2, is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a contract with Robert Quatman, Inc., Hayward, for the imDrovements specified above. Section 3: An additional allocation of $139,854.33 is hereby authorized to cover the costs plus a contingency and the Three Year Park Capital Improvement Budget is hereby adjusted accordingly.
