CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 83-197 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO ROBERT <br />QUATMAN, INC., HAYWARD, FOR PLEASANTON SPORTS <br />AND RECREATION PARK, PHASE IV, PROJECT NO. 83-2 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for <br />improvements to the front twenty-acre section of <br />Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park, Project <br />No. 83-2; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the <br />City Engineering Services Division advertised for <br />bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on May 24, <br /> 1983; and <br /> <br />I~flEREAS, <br /> <br />the bid of Robert Quatman, Inc., Hayward, in the <br />amount of $996,560.85 was determined to be the lowest <br />responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br />that the bid of Robert Quatman, Inc., Hayward, be <br />accepted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />an additional allocation of $139,854.33 is necessary <br />to cover the costs plus a contingency and the Three <br />Year Park Capital Improvement Budget should be adjusted <br />accordingly; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Robert Quatman, Inc., Hayward, in the <br /> amount of $996,560.85, for improvements to Pleasanton <br /> Sports and Recreation Park, Phase IV, including <br /> alternate bid items 1 - 12, Project 83-2, is hereby <br /> accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible <br /> bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a contract <br /> with Robert Quatman, Inc., Hayward, for the imDrovements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: An additional allocation of $139,854.33 is hereby <br /> authorized to cover the costs plus a contingency <br /> and the Three Year Park Capital Improvement Budget <br /> is hereby adjusted accordingly. <br /> <br /> <br />
