CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-154 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE APRIL 19, <br />1983 SPECIAL ELECTION. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a petition with 2351 signatures was submitted to the <br />City Clerk on December 22, 1982 to referend Ordinance <br />No. 1056 approving the Quail Creek Project, and duly <br />certified by the City as having the required signatures <br />to referend said ordinance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on January 11, 1983 the City Council called a special election <br />to be held on April 19, 1983 on the Quail Creek Project <br />and placed on the ballot the following measure known as <br />Measure A: <br /> <br />A MEASURE A: Shall Ordinance No. 1056, adopted <br />by the City Council on November 23, 1982, entitled <br />"Ordinance Approving the Application of Ken Earp, <br />et al., for PUD Development Plan Approval for a <br />Manufactured Housing Project on 29 acres on the <br />North Side of Vineyard Avenue Opposite Sauterne <br />Way" be approved? <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council contracted with the Alameda County <br /> Registrar of Voters to conduct the special election; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the election conducted by the Registrar of Voters was <br /> held on April 19, 1983; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Registrar of Voters having canvassed the returns of all <br /> votes cast in the special election certifies the results <br /> of the vote on Measure A to be as follows: <br /> <br />Yes 1,677 <br />No 4,607 <br />Total Votes Cast 6,364 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the results of the voting on Measure A by precinct <br /> is set forth in attachment A. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Measure A fails by the vote: Yes 1,677 - No 4,607. <br /> <br /> <br />
