CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-127 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF VALLEY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL'S <br />CERTIFICATE OF NEED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton has reviewed the long range <br />planning of Valley Memorial Hospital for the <br />entire Valley; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />due to increased population in the Valley area, <br />the City Council wholeheartedly concurs with <br />Valley Memorial's assessment of the needs for <br />future medical care and the need to construct a <br />new hospital facility in Pleasanton; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1: The City Council hereby gives its full support <br /> to the application for a Certificate of Need to be <br /> filed by Valley Memorial Hospital with the Office <br /> of Statewide Health Planning and Development. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED APRIL 12, 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />Butler <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Mercer, Mohr, Wood and Mayor <br /> <br />None <br />Councilmember Brandes <br />None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />By Doris George, <br /> <br />ROBERt.
