CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 83-123 REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO ANDERO CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR SIDEWALK REPAIR ON VARIOUS CITY STREETS, PROJECT NO. 83-5 WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for reDair of sidewalks on various city streets, Project No. 83-5; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids regarding this project; and WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on April 12, 1983; and WHEREAS, the bid of Andero Construction Company of San Jose, in the amount of $8,794.24 was determined to be the lowest responsible bid; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended that the bid of Andero Construction Company be accepted; and WHEREAS, the available funds to complete this project are $15,000; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The bid of Andero Construction Company of San Jose, in the amount of $8,794.24, for sidewalk repair on various city streets, Project No. 83-5, is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a contract with Andero Construction ComDany for the improvements specified above. In view of the fact that the bid is below the allocated amount for the Droject, staff is authorized to negotiate with Andero Construction to expand the contract to include other needed sidewalk repair work to a maximum of the budgeted amount ($15,000 maximum). Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
