6. Power equipment operation will be performed only by qualified City employees. 7. City will provide volunteers with safety equipment such as signs, hard hats and red vests. 8. City employees would provide safety instructions, explain the work to be done and direct the work of the Volunteers. 9. In the event that a claim for industrial injury is filed by a Volunteer working under the direction of Pleasanton, the County will be responsible for the adminsitration of the claim in the same manner as if the Volunteer was a County employee and for all costs incurred in the administration of such claims including any settlement costs. 10. City shall indemnify, hold harmless and defend County, its agents and employees from any and all actions, claims or suits of every name, kind and description, which may be asserted by any person, including any Volunteer placed by County with City arisin~ out of or in connection with the performance of assigned work by any Volunteersduring the period of custody or control by the City. This indemnification clause does not apply to the extent that limitations on City control of the Volunteer or character propensities of the Volunteer result in any such claim or action and County a~rees to indemnify, hold harmless and defend Pleasanton in that circumstance. !1. This agreement shall become effective upon its execution by all of the parties hereto. This agreement may be terminated at any time upon mutual consent of the parties.
