CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-94 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />C~NCELLATION OF WILLIAMSON ACT AGRICULTURAL <br />PRESERVE CONTRACT 1971-73 REMOVING APPROXIMATELY <br />230 ACRES OF LAND FROM THE CONTRACT LOCATED AT <br />THE SOUTHERN TERMINUS OF PICO AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />at its meeting of March 8, 1983, the City Council <br />received a Droposed negative declaration for cancella- <br />tion of Williamson Act Agricultural Preserve Contract <br />1971-73 under the provisions of California Government <br />Code Section 51282.1 to remove apDroximately 230 <br />acres of land from the contract located at the <br />southern terminus of Pico Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the City Council has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated February 1, 1983 and received <br />the recommendations of the staff and Planning <br />Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which <br />time the public was given the opportunity to <br />comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed <br />Williamson Act cancellation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts <br />in accordance with the applicable state and local <br />guidelines governing the preparation of negative <br />declarations and environmental imDact reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that the proposed cancellation <br />of Williamson Act Agricultural Preserve Contract <br />1971-73 under the provisions of California Government <br />Code Section 51282.1, removing approximately 230 <br />acres located at the southern terminus of Pico <br />Avenue, would not have any significant adverse <br />effects on the environment. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for the cancella- <br /> tion of Williamson Act Agricultural Preserve Contract <br /> 1971-73 under the provisions of California Government <br /> Code Section 51282.1 to remove aDDroximately 230 acres <br /> of land located at the southern terminus of Pico Avenue. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
