CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-71 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DENYING APPEAL OF WAVA YANEZ FOR A <br />VARIANCE TO ALLOW COMPLETION OF TWO ADDITIONAL <br />DWELLING UNITS AT 344-346 WEST ANGELA STREET <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Wava Yanez applied for a variance to allow the <br />completion of two additional dwelling units on the <br />lot which already contains a duplex which would <br />encroach into the required rear and side yards of <br />the property thus preventing sufficient parking <br />space and requiring substandard turning space for <br />certain parking spaces; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of January 26, 1983, the Board of <br />Adjustment considered this application together <br />with staff reports regarding this matter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />the Board of Adjustment aDproved the request subject <br />to conditions limiting the proposal to one additional <br />unit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />within the time specified by the Ordinance Code of <br />the City of Pleasanton, Wava Yanez submitted an <br />appeal to the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />at its meeting of February 22, 1983, the City <br />Council received a report dated February 10, 1983 <br />from the Director of Planning and Community Development <br />together with a copy of the staff report to the <br />Board of Adjustment regarding this matter; and <br /> <br />~HEREAS <br /> <br />a public hearing was held at which time aDDlicant <br />and any other member of the public was offered an <br />opportunity to present evidence regarding this <br />appeal; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Denies the appeal of Wava Yanez for a variance <br /> to allow the completion of two additional dwelling <br /> units at 344-346 West Angela Street. <br /> <br />Section 2: Council supports the decision of the Board of <br /> Adjustment that the required findings could be made <br /> for encroachment into the required setback and <br /> insufficient turning radius since numerous other <br /> structures and parking areas in the downtown area <br /> also experience these deficiencies, but that findings <br /> <br /> <br />
