CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-54 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION WITHDRAWING REQUEST FOR ANNEXATION <br />NO. 100 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on July 13, 1982, Council adopted Resolution No. <br />82-245 making application to LAFCO for Annexation <br />No. 100 (Picard); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after consideration of this application, LAFCO <br />decided that in addition to the Picard parcel, the <br />City should also annex the 10 acre parcel on the <br />east side of Foothill Road belonging to Mr. Lafayette; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it has become apparent that Mr. Lafayette in not <br />at all interested in being annexed to the City; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />because Mr. Picard is not willing to force Mr. <br />Lafayette into annexation, Mr. Picard has decided <br />to withdraw his request for annexation; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1: Staff is directed to forward this resolution to <br /> LAFCO withdrawing the City's and Mr. Picard's application <br /> to LAFCO, and asking that no further action be taken <br /> on this application, thereby allowing the LAFCO approval <br /> to expire after one year. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED FEBRUARY 8, 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Mercer, Wood and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />Peter D.
