CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-51 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />CANCELLATION OF WILLIAMSON ACT AGRICULTURAL <br />PRESERVE CONTRACT 1974-15 REMOVING APPROXIMATELY <br />53 ACRES OF LAND FROM THE CONTRACT LOCATED AT <br />THE EASTERN TE~4INI OF JUNIPERO STREET AND SAN <br />JOSE DRIVE (LUND) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of February 8, 1983, the City <br />Council received a proposed negative declaration <br />for cancellation of Williamson Act Agricultural <br />Preserve Contract 1974-15 under the provisions of <br />California Government Code Section 51282.1 to remove <br />approximately 53 acres of land from the contract <br />located at the eastern termini of JuniDero Street <br />and San Jose Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />the City Council has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated February 1, 1983 and received <br />the recommendations of the staff and Planning <br />Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which <br />time the public was given the opportunity to <br />comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed <br />Williamson Act cancellation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts <br />in accordance with the applicable state and local <br />guidelines governing the preparation of negative <br />declarations and environmental impact reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that the proposed cancellation <br />of Williamson Act Agricultural Preserve Contract <br />1974-15 under the provisions of California Government <br />Code Section 51282.1, removing approximately 53 acres <br />located at the eastern termini of Junipero Street <br />and San Jose Drive from the contract, would not <br />have any significant adverse effects on the environment. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for the cancellation <br /> of Williamson Act Agricultural Preserve Contract <br /> 1974-15 under the provisions of California Government <br /> Code Section 51282.1 to remove approximately 53 acres <br /> of land located at the eastern termini of Junipero <br /> Street and San Jose Drive from the contract. <br /> <br /> <br />
