CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-49 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A TEMPORARY FOUR-WAY STOP <br />AT THE INTERSECTION OF WEST LAS POSITAS BOULEVARD <br />AND MUIRWOOD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />citizen concern has been raised for the safety of <br />the intersection of West Las Positas and Muirwood <br />during construction of the West Las Positas Overcrossing <br />due to the presence of school children and a bus <br />stop; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Council considered this matter at its meeting of <br />February 8, 1983; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: During the construction period for the West Las <br /> Positas overcrossing, which is due to begin at the <br /> end of March or first of April and continue for <br /> approximately 18 months, a temporary four-way stop <br /> shall be established at the intersection of West <br /> Las Positas and Muirwood. Upon completion and <br /> opening to traffic of the overcrossing, the inter- <br /> section shall revert to the previous two-way stop. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective upon <br /> installation of appropriate signs by the Public <br /> Works Department. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED FEBRUARY 8, 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: ROBER~E.
