Both
increased treatment and disposal capacity are needed.

One of the first steps needed is a decision by the City and
Dnblin San Ramon Services District on how best to expand the
District's wasrepeater treatment plant. That in turn, of.course,
requires an updated master plan for the plant site. City Staff
has made available a copy of a proposal to the District from
Brown and Caldwell dated December 3, ]982, for engineering
services to meet that need. After examining the proposal, we
fee]. it would be in the best interests of all parties concerned
for the proposal to be accepted and work begun as soon as
possible.

Accordingly, Prudential requests the City to undertake an
initiative to obtain an acceptance of the proposal by the
District and issuance of a notice to Brown and Caldeell to
proceed with the wo_~ To facilitate that and in keeping with
various conditiors ! ~ting to Hacienda Business Park,
Prudential hereby o FS to underwrite such an initiative in an
amount not to exceed
