CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-34 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ALAMEDA COUNTY REGISTRAR <br />OF VOTERS TO CONDUCT THE APRIL 19, 1983 SPECIAL <br />ELECTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of January 25, 1983, the City <br />Council received and reviewed the report of the <br />Assistant to the City Manager regarding the cost <br />comparison of a City staff conducted election and <br />an election handled by the Alameda County Registrar; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after careful consideration of the time and cost <br />involved, it was recommended that the forthcoming <br />special election regarding the Quail Creek referendum <br />be conducted by the Alameda County Registrar; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes the Alameda County Registrar of <br /> Voters to perform those election activities required <br /> for the April 19, 1983 special election as specified <br /> by the City Manager. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the City Manage to take all actions <br /> necessary to implement this resolution, <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JANUARY 25, 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br /> Mayor <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Butler <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />James R. , <br /> George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />RB ~~ <br /> 0 ER~'E.
