A.82-08-20 T/AA/AFM/WPSC <br /> <br /> The Commission is a responsible agency for this project <br />under CEQA and has independently evaluated and assessed the lead <br />agency's Environmental Impact Report. The site of the proposed <br />project has been inspected by the Commission staff. <br /> <br /> The project is located in the northerly portion of <br />Pleasanton and includes development of 573 acres for office <br />buildings, industrial warehouses, light manufacturing, and <br />commercial buildings. West Las Positas Boulevard will provide <br />access to the project from Santa Rita Road which is located east <br />SPT's tracks. <br /> <br /> Major impacts involve loss of prime agricultural lands, <br />increases in noise, air pollution, traffic, and utility service <br />needs. Mitigation measures include constructing noise walls; <br /> <br />minimizing congestion, <br />residential areas; and <br />treatment facilities. <br /> <br />traffic generation, and truck traffic near <br />improving necessary water and sewer <br /> <br /> City states that it wishes to expedite construction of <br />the crossing to improve emergency vehicle access to Hacienda <br />Business Park at the earliest possible date. It is therefore <br />requested that the usual 30-day effective date on an order be <br />waived, which we will do. <br /> <br /> Notice of the application was published in the <br />Commission's Daily Calendar on August 10, 1982.
