CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-16 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PERMANENT POSITION OF <br />ASSISTANT CITY ATTOP~EY AND REVISING MID-YEAR <br />BUDGET <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />due to the increased workload of the City Attorney's <br />office arising out of new development in Pleasanton <br />and increased litigation, it is appropriate to change <br />the position of temporary, part time Assistant City <br />Attorney to permanent, full time Assistant City <br />Attorney; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in this regard, the budget for the City Attorney's <br />office should be amended to reflect a change in <br />the salary and benefit package for the Assistant <br />City Attorney; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby establishes the position <br /> of permanent, full time Assistant City Attorney. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Attorney's budget shall be adjusted to <br /> reflect a salary of $35,000 for the Assistant City <br /> Attorney with a benefit package similar to that <br /> given to management personnel in Resolution No. <br /> 82-411, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JANUARY 11, 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Mercer, Mohr and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT:: Councilmember Wood .RT~~BU~ <br />~ames R.
