AGREEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION, OPERATION <br />AND MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC 'SIGMALS ON HOPYARD/DOUGHERTy <br />ROAD AT 1-580 WESTBOUND OFF-RAMP <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT iS made and entered into this day <br /> <br /> of , 1982, by and betweem the CITY OF DUBLIN (herein- <br /> <br />after "Dublin"), a municipal corporation, and the CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON (hereinafter "Pleasanton"), a municipal corporation} <br />based on the following under'standings':~ <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on the basis of present traffic conditions and <br />projected short-term traffic growth, it is desirable to in- <br />stall certain roadway improvements and traffic signals as <br />shown on EXhibit "A", attached hereto, at the intersection <br />of Hopyard/Dougherty Road and the Interstate 580 westbound <br />off-ramp (hereinafter referred to as the "Project"); <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Project would be located within the corporate <br />limits of D~blin but would be subject to the jurisdiction of <br />the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for <br />both construction, operation and maintenance; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Hopyard/Dougherty Road and Interstate 580 <br />westbound off-ramp intersection operation and capacity are <br />important to the efficient flow of traffic entering and leav-- <br />ing the major projects unde~ constructi6n in n~rthern <br />Pleasanton and entering and leaving Dublin via Dougherty Road, <br />and, as such, the operation of the proposed traffic signals <br />is appropriately coordinated with other traffic signals <br />regulating traffic flows from Dublin Boulevard in Dublin <br /> <br /> <br />
