CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-630 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO TAKE ACTION REQUIRED TO EFFECT A IAND <br />TRADE TO IMPROVE MISSION HILL PARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />for some time the Park and Recreation Commission and the <br />Mission Hill Park Homeowners Association have supported <br />the concept of improving Mission Hill Park by trading <br />the approximately 4.5 acre city park land located on the <br />hill northwest of the developed portion of the park for <br />a parcel of land approximately the same size located on <br />the south side of the park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Director of Parks and Community Services presented <br />her report (SR 84:643) to the Council outlining the <br />details of such a land trade along with recommendations <br />from the Park and Recreation Commission suggested at its <br />meeting of November 21, 1984; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Staff is authorized to negotiate an agreement with <br /> Castlewood Properties, Inc., to trade land based on <br /> equal value, the City trading the 4.5 acres of Mission <br /> Hill Park that is located northwest of the existing <br /> improved Mission Hill Park, for a portion of the Lund <br /> Ranch property adjacent and to the south of the improved <br /> park, the size of the Lund parcel to be 4.8 acres as <br /> adjusted by appraisal for equivalent value. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City shall initiate changes in the General Plan <br /> for the subject parcels; the City parcel to be changed <br /> from "Open Space, Parks and Recreation" to "Residential, <br /> Medium Density;" the portion of the Lund parcel under <br /> discussion to be changed from "Residential, Low Density" <br /> to "open Space, Parks and Recreation." <br /> <br />Section 3: Staff is authorized to have both parcels of land <br /> appraised and to adjust the budget accordingly. <br /> <br />Section 4: Staff is authorized to proceed with the lnd trade <br /> subject to the approval of the City Council. <br /> <br />Section 5: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED DECEMBER 11, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
