CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-626 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A SOUNDWALL POLICY FOR 1-680 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Highway 1-680 is designated as a Scenic Corridor in the <br />Scenic Highways Element of the Pleasanton General Plan <br />and by the State; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Scenic Highways Element calls for preparation of a <br />specific plan which details how development and <br />landscaping shall take place adjacent to all scenic <br />streets and highways; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of December 11, 1984, the City Council <br />received a report from the Director of Planning and <br />Community Development (SR 84:654) setting forth an <br />interim plan for presentation to CalTrans; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton adopts as <br /> interim policy Sections 4.1 (1 A, B & C, 2 & 3 A & ~; <br /> 4.2, 4.2.1, 4.2.2 and 4.2.3 (A, B & C) of the Draft <br /> Plan. <br /> <br />Section 2: Directs staff to prepare final plans for soundwalls <br /> and landscaping adjacent to existing residential <br /> development on 1-680 and that this effort should involve <br /> further home owners meetings with submission of final <br /> plan back to the Planning Commission and City Council. <br /> <br />Section 3: Directs staff to forward City Council and Planning <br /> Commission recommendations as embodied in the Draft <br /> Scenic Highways Plan to CalTrans and to work with <br /> CalTrans and the North Pleasanton Improvement District <br /> Engineers to effect the approved plan. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED DECEMBER 11, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
