F~MORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> between <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> and <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON POLICE MANAGEMENT UNIT, <br /> OPERATING ENGIneERS LOCAL ~3 <br /> <br />This memorandum of understanding is entered into pursuant to the <br />provisions of Section 3500 et seq. of the government code of the <br />state of California. <br /> <br />The employee relations officer (city manager) is the representative of the <br />City of Pleasanton in employer-employee relations matters and has been <br />designated the representative for the purpose of meeting and conferring. <br /> <br />City of Pleasanton Police Management Unit, Operating Engineers Local #3 <br />the formally recognized employee organization for the police management <br />unit comprised of the classifications of police lieutenant and police <br />captain. <br /> <br />The parties have met and conferred in good faith regarding wages, hours ar <br />other terms and conditions of employment for the employees in said repre- <br />sentation unit and have freely exchanged information, opinions and pro- <br />posals and have endeavored to reach agreement on all matters relating to <br />the employment conditions and employer-employee relations of such <br />employees. <br /> <br />This memorandum of understanding shall be presented to the Pleasanton Cit] <br />Council as the joint recomnendation of the undersigned parties for salary <br />and employee benefit adjustments for the period commencing January 1, 198Z <br />through December 31, 1984. <br /> <br />The existing wages, hours and conditions of employment of the represented <br />classifications shall be amended as follows: <br /> <br />I. Wages <br /> <br />Effective January 1, 1984, the salary ranges of each represented <br />classification shall be as follows: <br /> <br />CLASSIFICATION MINIMIIM MAXIMUM <br />Lieutenant ~ ~ <br />Captain $2,882 $3,747 <br /> <br />Effective January 1, <br />Lieutenants Freeman, <br />follows: <br /> <br />1984, the specific monthly salary paid <br />McCollum and Captain Nelson shall be as <br /> <br />Lieutenant Freeman $3,034 <br />Lieutenant McCollum $3,034 <br />Captain Nelson $3,371 <br /> <br /> <br />
