F~MORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING between CITY OF PLEASANTON and CITY OF PLEASANTON POLICE MANAGEMENT UNIT, OPERATING ENGIneERS LOCAL ~3 This memorandum of understanding is entered into pursuant to the provisions of Section 3500 et seq. of the government code of the state of California. The employee relations officer (city manager) is the representative of the City of Pleasanton in employer-employee relations matters and has been designated the representative for the purpose of meeting and conferring. City of Pleasanton Police Management Unit, Operating Engineers Local #3 the formally recognized employee organization for the police management unit comprised of the classifications of police lieutenant and police captain. The parties have met and conferred in good faith regarding wages, hours ar other terms and conditions of employment for the employees in said repre- sentation unit and have freely exchanged information, opinions and pro- posals and have endeavored to reach agreement on all matters relating to the employment conditions and employer-employee relations of such employees. This memorandum of understanding shall be presented to the Pleasanton Cit] Council as the joint recomnendation of the undersigned parties for salary and employee benefit adjustments for the period commencing January 1, 198Z through December 31, 1984. The existing wages, hours and conditions of employment of the represented classifications shall be amended as follows: I. Wages Effective January 1, 1984, the salary ranges of each represented classification shall be as follows: CLASSIFICATION MINIMIIM MAXIMUM Lieutenant ~ ~ Captain $2,882 $3,747 Effective January 1, Lieutenants Freeman, follows: 1984, the specific monthly salary paid McCollum and Captain Nelson shall be as Lieutenant Freeman $3,034 Lieutenant McCollum $3,034 Captain Nelson $3,371
