CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-603 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AGREEING TO THE EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY TAX <br />REVENUE FOR ANNEXATION NO. 111 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Section 99 of the Revenue and Taxation Code (AB 8) <br />provides, among other things, that no local agency <br />jurisdictional change can be completed without the <br />agencies affected by such change first having agreed <br />upon an exchange of property tax revenue between and <br />among the affected agencies; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Alameda County Mayors' Conference, the City of <br />Pleasanton (Resolution No. 80-74) and the Alameda County <br />Board of Supervisors (Resolution No. 186574) have agreed <br />to a method for equitably distributing the property <br />taxes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />such specific annexation needs a resolution from both <br />the City and County agreeing to the exchange of property <br />tax revenues for the annexation to be completed and <br />filed with the State; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: That for Annexation No. 111 by the City of <br /> Pleasanton, which will be first effective for the fiscal <br /> year following the filing of the Certificate of <br /> Completion with the State Board of Equalization <br /> providing the filing occurs prior to December 31 of the <br /> preceding year, the Auditor-Controller of the County of <br /> Alameda shall be directed to cause an exchange of <br /> property tax revenues pursuant to the provisions of <br /> paragraphs No. 1 and 3 of the attached City/County <br /> agreement. <br /> <br />Section 2: That City certifies that: <br /> <br />There is no significant commercial and/or industrial <br />development in the proposed annexation. <br /> <br />section 3: That the property tax proceeds accruing for the <br /> Structural Fire Fund shall be transferred to the City of <br /> Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
