CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 84-600 RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISED HOUSING ELEMENT UPDATE OF THE GENERAL PLAN DATED NOVEMBER 27, 1984 WHEREAS, the city Council on June 26, 1984 tentatively approved Housing Element Update as required by Section 65588(a) of the Government Code; and WHEREAS, this tentatively adopted Update was referred to the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) for review and comment; and WHEREAS, in response to HCD's comments, staff has revised the Section entitled "Regional Housing Needs" (pages 16-19) in the June 1984 Update and replaced same with a new section entitled "Progress Toward Meeting Regional Housing Needs"; has added a new section entitled "Constraints to Reaching Regional Housing Needs"; and has added a new section entitled "Special Housing Needs" discussing the needs of the elderly, handicapped, large families, female headed households and farm workers as said sections appear in the Staff Report dated November 27, 1984 (SR 84:633); and WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study indicating no significant adverse effects on the environment, a negative declaration was adopted by Council on November 2, 1984; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on November 27, 1984; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this amended update to the Housing Element is consistent with the General Plan policies of the City of Pleasanton; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves the update to the Housing Element of the General Plan, as contained in the document entitled Housing Element Update of the City of Pleasanton General Plan, dated November 27, 1984, on file in the Department of Planning and Community Development of the City of Pleasanton. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED NOVEMBER 27, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE:
