STANDARD REQUZREHENTS FOR A TRAFFZC STUDY iN NORTH PLEASANTON As approved by the City of Pleasanton __, 1984. The standards described herein have been adopted by the City of Pleasanton for use on all traffic studies within the north Pleasanton area. All proposed development within the north Pleasanton area is required to submit a traffic study, prepared by a registered traffic engineer at the time of plan submittal, unless this requirement is waived by the Planning Director. In addition to the standards requirements listed herein, the traffic report shall include a description of the project, a summary of projected impacts and any required mitigation measures. The north Pleasanton traffic studies primarily consist of an analysis of specified intersections during the evening peak hour and the site and circulation plan of the proposed use. The following assumptions shall apply: Land Use - In addition to the proposed project being considered, traffic from all projects approved by the City of Pleasanton and not 100 percent occupied as of the date of the most recent Citywide traffic survey period shall be included. The approved list of projects will be continually expanded as projects are approved by the City of Pleasanton. The current list is shown in Table I. Subsequent lists will be certified by the City prior to commencement of each traffic study. Occupancy - The occupancy of each building (or the percentage of its square footage occupied by intended uses) as of the date of the most recent Citywide traffic survey will also be certified by the City prior to the commencement of the study. Occupancy figures will only change once a year and will coincide with the date of the Citywide traffic survey. The traffic study shall include the traffic from the unoccupied portions of all development described in "Land Use", above. For example, if a project is 80 percent occupied, only the traffic from the unoccupied 20 percent of the development would need to be considered in the new traffic study. Traffic from the occupied 80 percent has already been measured and is included in the "existing traffic conditions" measured during the Citywide traffic surveys. Occupancy percentages will be certified annually by the City. Current occupancy percentages are shown in Table I. Study Intersections - The City specifies which intersections are to be included in each study. North Pleasanton has been divided into several traffic zones which are shown in Figure TZ. Traffic conditions at the intersections listed in Table II are required to be analyzed for developments in specific traffic zones.
