CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-589 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A BIKE LANE ON TAWNY DRIVE <br />BETWEEN BERNAL AVENUE AND NORTON WAY, APPROPRIATING <br />$3,000 TO INSTALL THE BIKE LANE AND PROHIBITING PARKING <br />ON THE NORTH SIDE OF TAWNY DRIVE BETWEEN BERNAL AVENUE <br />AND NORTON WAY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at the Council meeting of November 13, 1984 Council <br />asked staff to study the possibility of installing a <br />bike lane on Tawny Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />considering the fact that the north side of Tawny Drive <br />is not yet fully improved, staff feels that restriping <br />and signing the designated strip of Tawny Drive could <br />establish the necessary bike lane for interim use until <br />the north side of the street is built to its ultimate <br />width and the cost for the above is approximately <br />$3,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />with the above-described improvements, it is appropriate <br />and necessary at this time to prohibit parking on the <br />north side of Tawny Drive between Bernal Avenue and <br />Norton Way; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Council hereby establishes a bike lane on Tawny Drive <br /> between Bernal Avenue and Norton Way and authorizes the <br /> appropriation of $3,000 to install the Bike Lane <br /> improvements. <br /> <br />Section 2: Resolution No. 76-79 (A Resolution Establishing <br /> Traffic Regulations for City Streets) is hereby amended <br /> by adding subsection 6t-1 to read as follows: <br /> <br />"6t-1 Tawny Drive, on the north side of Tawny Drive <br />between Bernal Avenue and Norton Way." <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED NOVEMBER 27, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
