CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 84-571 RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE 1984 MUNICIPAL ELECTION WHEREAS, the City Council has ordered consolidation of its municipal election with the statewlde general election pursuant to Government Code Section 36503.5, and such election was held on November 6, 1984; and WHEREAS, the conduct of such a consolidated election is governed by Election Code Section 23300 et seq., and voting precincts were established for the consoli- dated election in accordance with the Election Code; and WHEREAS, the official canvass has been duly made for the election of City Council- members and City Treasurer and the true and correct results are as follows: a. Total ballots cast were 18,017, equalllng 79.3%of the eligible voters in the City of Pleasanton. b. Names and number of votes for persons running for the office of City Council: Karin Mohr 10,741 Jerry Morrow 5,468 Maurice McFadden 1,753 Kenneth R. Mercer 10,674 Ben Tarver 6,111 Robert E. Butler 8,803 George H. Phillips III 1,094 c. Names and number of votes for persons running for the office of City Treasurer: Christian J. Miller III 4,364 Nancy D~Arcy 9,339 The number of votes given at each precinct to each person running for City Council and City Treasurer are shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated by this reference. WHEREAS, the municipal election consisted of selecting three (3) members to the City Council of the City of Pleasanton and one (1) City Treasurer of the City of Pleasanton. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The following persons are hereby declared elected to the City Council of the City of Pleasanton: a. Karin Mohr elected for one full term from and after November 13, 1984, and until her successor is elected and qualified.
