CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 84-571 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE 1984 <br />MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has ordered consolidation of its municipal election with <br />the statewlde general election pursuant to Government Code Section 36503.5, <br />and such election was held on November 6, 1984; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the conduct of such a consolidated election is governed by Election Code <br />Section 23300 et seq., and voting precincts were established for the consoli- <br />dated election in accordance with the Election Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the official canvass has been duly made for the election of City Council- <br />members and City Treasurer and the true and correct results are as follows: <br /> <br />a. Total ballots cast were 18,017, equalllng 79.3%of the eligible voters <br /> in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />b. Names and number of votes for persons running for the office of City <br /> Council: <br /> <br />Karin Mohr 10,741 <br />Jerry Morrow 5,468 <br />Maurice McFadden 1,753 <br />Kenneth R. Mercer 10,674 <br />Ben Tarver 6,111 <br />Robert E. Butler 8,803 <br />George H. Phillips III 1,094 <br /> <br />c. Names and number of votes for persons running for the office of City <br /> Treasurer: <br /> <br />Christian J. Miller III 4,364 <br />Nancy D~Arcy 9,339 <br /> <br />The number of votes given at each precinct to each person running for <br />City Council and City Treasurer are shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto <br />and incorporated by this reference. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the municipal election consisted of selecting three (3) members to the City <br /> Council of the City of Pleasanton and one (1) City Treasurer of the City of <br /> Pleasanton. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The following persons are hereby declared elected to the City Council <br /> of the City of Pleasanton: <br /> <br />a. Karin Mohr elected for one full term from and after November 13, 1984, <br /> and until her successor is elected and qualified. <br /> <br /> <br />
