CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-525 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR AN <br />AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN LAND USE ELEMENT <br />DESIGNATION OF AN APPROXIMATELY 13 ACRE SITE LOCATED AT <br />THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF THE RAILROAD <br />TRACKS OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY <br />AND BERNAL AVENUE FROM "HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" TO <br />"COMMERCIAL AND OFFICES" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of October 16, 1984, the City Council <br />received a proposed negative declaration for an <br />amendment to the General Plan Land Use Element <br />designation of an approximately 13 acre site located at <br />the southwest corner of the intersection of the railroad <br />tracks of the Southern Pacific Transportation Company <br />and Bernal Avenue from "High Density Residential" to <br />"Commercial and Offices"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial <br />Study dated September 5, 1984 and received the <br />recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the <br />public was given the opportunity to comment on the <br />environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan <br />amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in <br />accordance with the applicable state and local <br />guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan <br />amendment would not have any significant adverse effects <br />on the environment: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for an amendment to <br /> the General Plan Land Use Element designation of an <br /> approximately 13 acre site located at the southwest <br /> corner of the intersection of the railroad tracks of the <br /> Southern Pacific Transportation Company and Bernal <br /> Avenue from "High Density Residential" to "Commercial <br /> and Offices". <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
