CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-506 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROV- <br />ING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS UNDER THE REGIONAL COMPETI- <br />TIVE PROGRAM OF THE CALIFORNIA PARK AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES <br />ACT OF 1984 FOR PLEASANTON SPORTS AND RECREATION PARK FRONT SEC- <br />TION, PHASE V PROJECT. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the people of the State of California have enacted <br />the California Park and Recreational Facilities Act <br />of 1984, which provides funds to the State of <br />California and its political subdivisions for <br />developing facilities for public recreational <br />purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the State Department of Parks and Recreation has <br />been delegated the responsibility for the <br />administration of the program within the state, <br />setting up necessary procedures governing <br />application by local agencies under the program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said procedures established by the State Department <br />of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to <br />certify by resolution the approval of applications <br />before submission of said applications to the state; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said applications contain assurances that the appli- <br />cant must comply with; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the applicant agency will enter into an agreement <br />with the State of California for development <br />rehabilitation or restoration of the project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOL- <br />VES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Approves the filing of an application for 1984 state grant <br />assistance for the above project; and <br /> <br />2. Certifies that said agency understands the assurances and <br />certification in the application; and <br /> <br />3. Certifies that said agency has or will have sufficient funds <br />to operate and maintain the project, and if the project is se- <br />lected for state grant funding; <br /> <br />4. Certifies that said organization will provide construction <br />plans and specifications to the state within one year of the ap- <br />propriation of funds under this program and will commence work <br />immediately after state approval; and <br /> <br />- 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
