CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-505 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DENYING REQUEST OF MARGARET OYLER FOR <br />ANNEXATION OF 2.6 ACRES ON VIRGINIA WAY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council is in receipt of a letter from Margaret <br />Oyler requesting annexation of her property on Virginia <br />Way (approximately 2.6 acres); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Director of Public Works and Utilities presented his <br />report (SR 84:508) indicating this annexation would not <br />be appropriate at this time; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council made the following findings: <br /> <br />Annexing only the Oyler property from he remaining <br />island would cause services problems; <br /> <br />this would not be a logical expansion of the City <br />boundaries at this time; <br /> <br />c. proper access cannot be provided; and <br /> <br />the Study Report for this area should be completed <br />before consideration of annexation of the property; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1: Council denies the request of Margaret Oyler for <br />initiation of annexation proceedings for approximately <br />2.6 acres on Virginia Way. <br /> <br />Section: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED OCTOBER 2, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Brandes, <br />Mercer <br />None <br /> <br />Butler, Mohr, Wood an Mayor <br /> <br />ABSENT: None ~Rk~{~_~ <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> CER, MAYOR <br />j ~ <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
