CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-488 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISED STRIPING ON SANTA RITA ROAD <br />AND OLD SANTA RITA ROAD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of May 24, 1983, Council approved the <br />construction plans for Santa Rita Road between Sutter <br />Gate Avenue and 1-580; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Santa Rita Junction Merchants' Association presented <br />a letter to the September 1984 Staff Traffic Committee <br />Meeting regarding the problems they were having with <br />parking; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Traffic Committee recommended modification to the <br /> construction plans previously approved; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1: Council hereby directs staff to have the striping <br />plan revised to allow parking on the easterly side of <br />Old Santa Rita Road from Engineer's Station 2 + 25 <br />northerly, and on the westerly side of Old Santa Rita <br />Road between Engineer's Station 2 + 45 and 20 + 0). <br /> <br />Section 2: Directs Staff to have the Striping Plan revised to <br /> allow parking for vehicles under 20 feet in length on <br /> the westerly side of Santa Rita Road from the northerly <br /> driveway of the shopping center (approximately <br /> Engineer's Station 114 + 74) to 250 feet northerly. <br /> <br />Section 3: Parking allowed by Section 1 of this resolution shall <br /> be effective for a maximum of four years. <br /> <br />Section 4: Staff is directed to send a copy of this resolution <br /> to both the owner of the shopping center complex and <br /> also to the Santa Rita Junction Merchant's Association. <br /> <br />Section 5: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED OCTOBER 2, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
