CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-466 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION MAKING APPLICATION TO ALAMEDA COUNTY LOCAL <br />AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION REQUESTING INITIATION OF <br />PROCEEDINGS FOR PROPOSED ANNEXATION NO. 110 PURSUANT TO <br />THE MUNICIPAL ORGANIZATION ACT OF 1977 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of 1977, <br />beginning with Section 35000 of the Government Code, an <br />affected city, as therein defined, may by resolution <br />adopted by its legislative body, make a proposal for an <br />"Annexation and Detachments" and request initiation of <br />proceedings thereon; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton is an "affected city" for an <br />annexation proposal which contains territory proposed to <br />be annexed as part of said city; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owner of said property has consented to this <br /> annexation; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: This City Council, as the legislative body of an <br /> affected city, does hereby make a proposal for <br /> annexation of the area known as Annexation No. 110 <br /> pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of 1977 and <br /> does hereby request proceedings pursuant to such act. <br /> <br />Section 2: The annexation shall consist of the following change <br /> in organization: <br /> <br />That 276 acres, more or less, adjacent to the City <br />limits west of Foothill Road, shall be changed from <br />unincorporated Alameda County lands to land within the <br />City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Said territory is found to be uninhabited and is more <br />specifically described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto <br />and incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br />Section 3: This City Council does hereby declare that its <br /> reasons for proposing this annexation are: <br /> <br />This is a logical extension of the city limits and the <br />City of Pleasanton should have control over the <br />development of this property. <br /> <br /> <br />
