CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-461 <br /> <br />APPROVING SALE OF SURPLUS CITY PROPERTY ON THE NORTHWEST <br />CORNER OF PETERS AVENUE AND BERNAL AVENUE TO MR. AND <br />MRS. GEORGE MARMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council declared the parcel of land located on <br />the northwest corner of Peters Avenue and Bernal Avenue <br />to be surplus and has performed all requirements neces- <br />sary for sale of the property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a contract was negotiated with Mr. and Mrs. Marment for <br />purchase of this property and said contract was reviewed <br />by Council at its meeting of September 11, 1984; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby accepts the sum of $18,500 <br /> from Mr. and Mrs. George Marment for the purchase of the <br /> surplus property at the northwest corner of Peters <br /> Avenue and Bernal Avenue pursuant to the terms of the <br /> Real Property Purchase Contract, a copy of which is at- <br /> tached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a deed from the <br /> City of Pleasanton to Mr. and Mrs. George Marment for <br /> the above-described property and to execute the above- <br /> described Real Property Purchase Contract and the ap- <br /> propriate City officers are directed to take whatever <br /> actions are necessary to implement the sale of the above <br /> property. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 11, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood and Mayor <br />Mercer <br />None ~~~ <br />None <br />None <br /> <br /> KENNETH R.
