CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 84-461 APPROVING SALE OF SURPLUS CITY PROPERTY ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF PETERS AVENUE AND BERNAL AVENUE TO MR. AND MRS. GEORGE MARMENT WHEREAS, the City Council declared the parcel of land located on the northwest corner of Peters Avenue and Bernal Avenue to be surplus and has performed all requirements neces- sary for sale of the property; and WHEREAS, a contract was negotiated with Mr. and Mrs. Marment for purchase of this property and said contract was reviewed by Council at its meeting of September 11, 1984; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council hereby accepts the sum of $18,500 from Mr. and Mrs. George Marment for the purchase of the surplus property at the northwest corner of Peters Avenue and Bernal Avenue pursuant to the terms of the Real Property Purchase Contract, a copy of which is at- tached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a deed from the City of Pleasanton to Mr. and Mrs. George Marment for the above-described property and to execute the above- described Real Property Purchase Contract and the ap- propriate City officers are directed to take whatever actions are necessary to implement the sale of the above property. Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
