CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-449 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO O'GRADY <br />PAVING,INC. FOR RESURFACING VARIOUS CITY STREETS, <br />PROJECT NO. 84-8 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for resurfac- <br /> ing of various city streets, Project No. 84-8; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the city <br />Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br />regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on September 11, <br /> 1984; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the bid of O'Grady Paving, Inc. in the amount of <br />$293,397.25, was determined to be the lowest responsible <br />bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of O'Grady Paving, Inc. be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of O'Grady Paving, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $293,397.25, for resurfacing various city streets, <br /> Project No. 84-8, is hereby accepted by the City Council <br /> as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> O'Grady Paving, Inc. for the improvements specified <br /> above. <br /> <br />Section: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 11, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
