CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAmeDA COUNTY, CALIFO~]IA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-439 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE SITE SELECTION BY THE <br />CITY OF DUBLIN FOR THE PROPOSED NATIONAL CEMETERY <br />AT THE CAMP PARKS FACILITY IN ALAMEDA COUNTY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of July 10, 1984, the City Council <br />of Pleasanton adopted Resolution No. 84-334 <br />urging the establishment of a national veterans' <br />cemetery at Camp Parks; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of August 27, 1984, the City Council <br />of Dublin also expressed its support of a national <br />cemetery at Camp Parks, however, they proposed a <br />different location; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />after consideration of the Dublin proposal, it is <br />the decision of the City Council of Pleasanton to <br />support Dublin's proposal; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br /> hereby supports a national cemetery in the aesthetically <br /> pleasing rolling hills of a portion of the Camp Parks <br /> site, but opposes the location of a national cemetery <br /> on the 150 acres presently proposed by the Veterans <br /> Administration. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED AUGUST 28, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br /> TO FORM: ] <br />P~tej~.
