CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-427 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR BUILDING IN- <br />SPECTION DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the current budget of the Building Inspection Department <br />was based on 800 residential permits, 1.5 million square <br />feet of commercial/industrial and .75 million square <br />feet of tenant improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />during the fiscal year which ended June 30, 1984, per- <br />mits were issued for 927 residential buildings, 150 <br />living units of apartments and the estimated commercial <br />and industrial workload was slightly exceeded; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />due to the increase in the workload, it is necessary to <br />amend the budget of the Building Inspection Department <br />to add the following: <br /> <br />1 Building Inspector <br /> (salary & benefits for 10 months) $33,607 <br />1 car 7,000 <br />1 radio 1,800 <br /> <br />$ 42,407 <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes the hiring of an additional building <br /> inspector as of September 1, 1984. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes an increase in the Building Department <br /> budget of $42,407 to cover the costs of the additional <br /> building inspector. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br />NOES: None ~~/~~ <br />ABSENT: Councilmembers - Brandes and Butl <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> H R.
